I'm sure the code is the same for us all so that shouldn't be a problem.

I know there is a way to get the update "unofficially" here:

It is the same updates as Citreon users have.

I would still prefer to have the Citroen website work for me.

Coded to version and VIN as far as I know, otherwise the 'paid for' updates would be universally free.

That 42050 version has the UK maps dated as 30/10/18, is that the latest HERE maps for the UK?

Just updated mine to the 2019-2 maps on my May-2016 B78
At least, most of 'em, had to leave out the two "Eastern Europe" ones, despite they being pre-loaded.
There's not enough storage for the full update otherwise

Well, seems like I might have to accept what Citroen says because I phoned the service dept of my Citroen dealer and they said that 42028 is the latest for my car which has a SMEG + unit.

So those who have kindly responded to the forum and can access the 42050 download perhaps have a newer unit?

Surprise, surprise....today I see on My Citroen that map 42050, that I have been waiting for is now available.

Just coincidence, or perhaps someone at Citroen Customer Care actually did something, who knows

Excellent, thanks for posting. Although I was OK this time, its always good to share experiences ready for the time it doesn't work.

I downloaded 42050 on the 12thOct. My new memory stick arrived yesterday so I unzipped the download and transferred it to my new stick. This morning, my wife and I set off on a long day out with the intention of loading it. I got as far as 'checking compatibility' and no further. I checked Map Info and all the countries are ticked but the confirm box is greyed. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with yours.

Pete.

It may be that with all maps checked they are too big to fit on the available space. Uncheck all but the UK (that's what I did) and the confirm button became available.

I read and re-read what instructions I could find and decided I should have unzipped the file to a folder then copied them to the stick. Previously, I had unzipped them directly to the stick. This method worked and I have successfully loaded UK, Italy and a couple of Southern Europe to the hard drive. My concern now is that when I loaded France, it seemed to finish in next to no time and now I am concerned that not all the file has loaded. The box for France is unchecked so I am unable to try again.

As far as I know you should be able to load the French map again just by unchecking all other maps and checking just the map for France.

I have to tell you that mine is on a DS4 so it may be slightly different. Hopefully someone else can help in more detail.
