My 2014 C4 GP B78 2L 60,000 kilometers Diesel Auto exclusive+ has stopped listening to all controls on the steering wheel and the indicator/lights/wiper stalks. Dash showing direction headlamp error and collision risk detection fault. Radio worked when it first occurred but currently no sound available on starting, (radio, indicator etc), which had happened a couple of times before and seemed to happen when I poked the screen before boot-up finished. I also have the urea warning staying on after being refilled. It did register a change from 11,000k to 15,000k on being filled to the brim with an extra litre or so. Apart from all that it's a great car! All advice/help gratefully received, Colmán |

An Adblue warning at 60,000 km is bad news. Adblue should last 80,000 miles (~140,000km). The tank holds ~17L, so if you brimmed with 1L, your system has not been pumping. Chances are you need a new Adblue tank. Hope you have a decent warranty or deep pockets. EDIT. As Gittos has pointed out below the numbers quoted are for the EOLYS system. 12,000 miles is the quoted range. If you have had the warning and only 1L was required to top up, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a problem with the tank. |

The Adblue should last approx 12,500 miles, it's the Eolys ( Particulate) fluid that lasts about 80,00miles | ||||

I have not driven the car since the steering controls went. Tried starting about one week later and a series of warnings popped up with glitching main display. Now it says that there is an engine problem, hand brake problem and won't start -just a clunk clunk sound. Only fault found by Aldi OBD is P2A00. Stop start never worked. Is a new battery needed? It's parked on street around the corner from house. How can I take it out to charge as it says that it is a special battery. How are all of the steering wheel controls connected to the BUS Are there any illustrations of same? Thank you all in advance Back using my 08 1.6 hdi GP Exclusive which went through it National Car Test last week, no problems at 200,120km. |

IF YOUR INDICATORS AND WIPER CONTROLS STOP WORKING - CHECK YOUR BATTERY. Well - it turns out that a new battery has sorted out all of the starting/handbrake/display and the earlier (scary) loss of indicators and steering wheel/column controls. I'm hoping that it may eventually sort the Adblue issue as well (I added at least 10L before brimming it with an extra 1L. With all of the screens, it beats me why the car did not report a battery and/or charging issue. I have used a CTEK smart 10amp charger overnight and the 2013 original battery is now holding 13.4V. |
