I was thinking about changing my car 2014 C4GP exclusive + 365 for a younger car, but having looked in most of the websites I have yet to find a car with the same spec as the car I have now. So I will keep my car for a few more years as I have come to the conclusion that I would be paying a lot more for very little more. So I have decided to upgrade the Satnav/Radio system to the latest version, and upgrade the power tailgate to a foot opening type. and as the car is running fine plus just replaced the timing belt & water pump with the car doing over 60mpg just don't see the point paying a lot more money better to upgrade my present car.

I've owned my 2015 Grand C4 1.6 EAT6 for about 2 months. I really like it and great for the growing family. Apart from not having the likes of Android Auto, I am pleased I didn't push my budget for the 2016 upgrade (basically for Android Auto) and and go beyond my means. Sorry if you posted elsewhere but how did you fit and source parts for the foot opening on your tailgate? I would be very interested in attempting this myself. Also, I guess you say you updated the Satnav/Radio system, I am guessing that was software version rather than a physical swap of touch screens that the later models have? |

I have the Autoboot part and instructions but can't find anyone to fit it, my dealer declined to fitt it as it was not a genuine Citroen part It's a case of finding a garage who can do the job. Even today I phoned 2 auto electricians who said they can't do it I have located the Android system but having trouble getting 12" upper screen as it is needed if I want to display the satnav on the upper screen. |

Take care replacing the top screen....this holds information of the cars mileage, so if you fit a screen from a car with higher milage than yours your mileage will be irreversably changed to the higher one. |

The person I have buying from specializes in Citroen & Peugeot systems but he does not have a top screen at the moment and will configure with my VIN a new one cost too much I could get the main unit but would prefer to have both fitted at the same time. . . as for mileage mine is around 116K so should not be a problem

Have you got any details of what was involved please in the upgrade, have you any more info on your foot opening tailgate adapter please too. That must be an easy fit as would only require power and to be wired to the tailgate button use instead of pressing the button.

I bought it from a guy in Near Leeds who deals in Citroen parts he was going to post ( head unit and display screen) it but I as I was going to the UK the following week he said he would fit for me took around 30 mins but he knew what he was doing and fitted a new harness and my original top screen works fine . . . As for the tailgate I have it the kit for a few months but can't find anyone to fit it. I called a auto electrician who could wire it for me but would/could not remove the tailgate trim and called into a body shop could remove trim but not wire it You have to remove the tailgate trim route the wires to the sensors via the Boot floor |

Just added the only thing that my car did not have A heated Steering wheel albeit a heated wheel cover it took a while to fit it but worth the effort just in time for the cold spell so now hands as well my bum and back are now warm after a few Mins . . also fitted rear door opening warning lights which alerts other road users that a door is open .
