Help. I'm trying to get the auxilliary belt back on - same belt as previous - My 1.6hdi C4 doesn't have a self tensioning mechanism like others on youtube and in Haynes. The belt now seems about 1 inch too short. I tried attaching photos of my car but no luck getting that to work. I'm absolutely stuck and stumpted by this. Any help would be appreciated |

I thought all the DV6 engines had a tensioner. Can you host the pics on imgur or similar & post links here? |

If I remeber correctly my old 2007 1.6hdi was fitted with a 'stretch belt' which was an absolute pain to get on. No adjuster and needed a special (borrowed) tool to get it on. Suppose its cheaper than an adjuster. | ||
