Hello all,

Few days ago we purchaded 2014 C4GP. I've noticed one interesting thing. Each time I start car, USB starts play from the beginning. I mean from the very first song and not from the spot where player was just before the engine/ignition was swiched off. Is there a way to fix this?
Also I am nearly 100 percent sure that I've unchecked auto rear wiper option. But noticed that it is still active next time I put in reverse. Is it possible that my changes are not saved?

Could both problems be connected?

Thank you for all possible information.

I think it only does that on the Jukebox or on an mp3 player as for the rear wiper there are options for that in settings. . . I mam not sure if it the same on all versions of the C4GP's

I've been using the usb function for years and yes you're right, it should start at the point it stopped even if mid track. I've never had to set anything, it just did it.

Not sure if possible but could the system need resetting?

Do you mean factory reset?

Very possibly, never had to do it, as I said mine have always worked from the box.

I have that issue with my 32GB Sandisk USB drive. Tried 4GB drive and it is working perfect. Song continues from the last position. Both drives are formatted in FAT32. Maybe there is a size limit? Anyone tried 32GB drive? Is there any confirmation from Citroen about max size limitation?

Well at least now I know that problem is with the drive and not with the headunit.

There is a size limit but I can't remember what it is, if I remember correctly I use a 16gb stick.

I don’t know if there is a maximum, but 16gb is the minimum they recommend for loading map or firmware updates.

I can confirm that in my case 32gb and 16 gb are not working. By not working I mean that each time I start the car, player starts from very first song in the USB.
If I will find, I want to try another 16gb from another brand. Hopefully that will work.
Another thing: I am seriously thinking about upgrading speakers.....not big fan of factory audio.....

My usb stick is 16gb and works perfectly. Always continues from where it left off. What surprised me is that even if you took the usb out and put it back in it will continue from where it left off still.

A thought. Thinking aloud kind.

Mine works as you would expect, plays from where you left it last, 32gb stick. The only time it reverts to the first track on the stick is if it reboots, for instance if I have whimsically decided to change screen layout or on one or two occasions it just 'decided to'.

I wonder - I guess there are 2 power supplies, one always on to keep the memory alive and one via ignition to make it all come to life. Could there be a problem on the first one, fuse, loose connection, even very old poorly battery or anything else that make it think it needs to reboot or restart every time?

If you keep engine running and change source to radio and then back again to USB, does it remember where it was? If so it suggests that its the act of turning engine off and on that's triggering the misbehaviour and that suggests a volts-to-brain issue.
