Ad Blue warning comes on.. at 850 miles to go before no start, so I got a 10l can of the good stuff and brimmed the tank (only took about 8 litres ..hmm) Oh well no worry. Went on long journey 650 round trip light stays on and count now at 200 miles to go. Check with garage about reset procedure that I may have missed... No sir you better bring in.
(15 plate 2.0 HDi 43k miles)

Tank and integral gauge found 'faulty'.. New tank required £843 plus VAT plus labour.
'Begger my old boots!' Fortunately it's a lease car with maintenance. Citroen may supply part under goodwill..

3 Years Citroen Extended warranty, ~£750. New tank, well north of £1000! No brainer really.

I bought a 2016 C4 GP 2.0 HDI last month. Enjoyed learning to fly it LOL - until after 4 weeks, it came up with Engine Fault, then the Urea light (no remaining distance, so assume level was OK). Took it back to the (non-Citroen) dealer, who booked it in, and gave us a courtesy car. 4 days later, have to refer it to Citroen. Citroen said it is the AdBlue tank itself, the car is not driveable, and 2-week lead time for the parts! Anyone else had this problem?

Thankfully, our dealer has allowed us to hold on to the courtesy car, as we need to get to a funeral in Devon this week - not as good as the C4, but at least we are mobile!

First time I've heard about the tank itself, but there have been recalls for the AdBlue wiring harness and tank cap on some versions.

Sounds like you have a helpful dealer at least.

Good news is that Citroen are going to pay for the repair (apart from £150 which has to be billed to the vehicle owner). However, our dealer will then reimburse us under the warranty for that sum, so will all be sorted, once the parts finally arrive!

Sounds good.

Apart from the recall, which on mine was done at the same time as a service, the adblue and dpf system has been entirely trouble-free for me. My former C5 (Euro 5) often popped up DPF warnings, this one never has.

There have been many reports of issues with the Adblue system. It occurs right across the Citroen diesel range. It is probably the pump which has failed but the pump is not available separately. I had mine done after this occurred to me about a year ago, and nearly ruined my holiday.

AdBlue tank all sorted, and back on the road

Diagnostic codes P20F6 and P20E8. No leaks, and has fluid in tank. 3 pressure test, all normal. Urea injector, all OK. New tank required, and now replaced.

Now learning to fly it agin LOL. Did a 30-mile run this afternoon, and all OK
