Morning all, this is my first post so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area or if this question has been answered before. My search didn't bring up any results. I've purchased a 2014 C4 Grand Picasso at the end March. Regrettably, in the last two weeks alone, it has acquired three dings/ dents on the side of the car from people opening their doors. I've been lucky insofar that the mobile dent repair guy fixed the second dent free of charge (his minimum call out is £85 and he felt it was fair after paying him that for the first dent which was easy to fix for him). But after nervously discovering the third yesterday, I feel this is becoming a joke. I've concluded that the bodywork is extremely vulnerable and I'm trying to parallel park where I can or park away further to increase my efforts in avoiding this scenario. Am I really unlucky or should I arrange monthly direct debit with the dent repair guy? I owned an Astra estate for 12 years before this and NEVER EVER got a dent.... I've looked at prevention solutions and wonder if the side door protection mouldings really work? They do not look like they are located high enough to block any impact? I'd be really grateful for any advice you can offer. Dents really ruin the look of a car but will now wait to acquire more before calling my dent repair guy (now on speeddial ) to work his magic..... |
