The small engine logo is lit all the time. The screen says-- Depollution Fault--Could anyone please tell me if this is a DIY job or does it have to go to a Citroen dealer.

As to my level of skill I recently fitted a new clutch to this C4 diesel hatch. ( 2005 car )

Thank you in advance.

The Depollution warning has a multitude of causes. It could be blocked fuel filter or worse. You need the error codes read for a more accurate diagnosis.

Thanks very much. Will get it checked when I get to the UK on Wednesday.

Prices herein France are horrific. Just got a quote for my cracked windscreen replacement of 995 Euros. Yikes.

Do you not get cover on your car insurance?

I get cover on my insurance up to £200. Everything over that I have to pay myself.
At the MOT station they cancelled all the codes registered in the memory. I drove the car for a while and the warning light did not come on again. The tester said that Citroen cars seem to come up with these warning at times even if there are no problems with the car. Unreliable electronics he said. Not unreliable cars.

This entire posting is in the wrong section.

That doesn't help to get best advice (and it may confuse others).

Well your post has definitely confused me. ( And maybe others. Lol. )

I felt certain I was in the correct section.
