Is it possible to replace the Citroen ICE with a 3rd party head unit, from say Panasonic or Kenwood, assuming it is the same size?

Essentially I am interested in using Apple CarPlay on models pre 2016 ICE upgrade (Exclusive and + editions). Obviously the ICE on those models don't support CarPlay, but is it possible to upgrade the touch unit?

AFAIK the B78 doesn't have DIN type slots for the ICE head-unit, so while it might be possible, it ain't going to be easy

The smaller screen also covers all the other car functionality from phone integration, satnav, climate control, camera controls etc - so probably isn't something you want to remove

Thanks. That’s a shame because AKAIK you cant upgrade the ICE on the pre 2016 models to support CarPlay. Am I right? Or is there some firmware/hardware upgrade that can bring in Apple CarPlay support? Might not sound a big deal but when you’ve used it and both drivers are used to it it’s hard to give up.

No, you can't upgrade to Apple Car Play. Unfortunately, nowadays it is extremely difficult to upgrade anything, as Canbus and configurations cause huge issues. It is a shame to have to say that if you want something, you will probably have to buy a car with it already fitted.

Thanks. Appreciate the responses. So I either wait for the Feel/Flair prices to come down a smidge or go CMax again.
