Hi all, a newbie here - to the C4 but have had a BX 1.9GT, CX 2.5GTi Turbo MkI, and a ZX 1.9TD - all brilliant, comfortable, practical and 'different' cars

I'm now looking for a nice C4 and will be viewing a 56 model 1.6 petrol Loeb in red tonight.

It seems that the Loeb edition is basically an SX with special seats/trim - is there a difference in suspension, gearbox, engine parts etc etc ? I just want to see if there are any unique parts which are hard to find or expensive before I commit to buying one.

If the unique numbered plaque from the ashtray lid is missing, will Citroen be able to supply a replacement? I'm assuming they'll know from the VIN...

Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to joining this excellent forum as a proud owner very soon

Yes, "by Loeb" is just a trim variation on a standard car.

You can ask at your dealer for a replacement plaque, but for 12+ year old car, don't hold your breath.

Sadly, the Loeb was a bit the worse for wear. Its a shame as it did hint at what a stunning car it must have been when new. I'll update the Loeb register for info.

Oh well, the search goes on.

I had a stroke of luck today - saw an advert literally a few hours after it had been placed, so after a quick discussion with the seller I put a deposit down, and then took the afternoon off to go and see it .

It's a cracker - a black Loeb... diesel! How rare is that! Two owners, 77k miles with FSH, dual zone aircon and JBL stereo upgrade. Its in very good condition and drives spot on. I'll post some pics after I've collected it at the weekend.
