Daft question. Now the cold weather is here I'm struggling with the windscreen washers on my 2017 C4. Basically the screenwash is a -75c product, and definitely not frozen, rear screen runs fine. But, the front, in the cold freezes up all the time. I know it's a freezing issue as they run fine when it's not cold. I'm guessing it's the nozzles that freeze. Any solution / tips? Were there ever heated nozzles that could be retro fitted from another model? Thanks

I guess this is no longer an issue as temperatures are up by a good 10 degrees from a fortnight ago.

I use Comma XStreme windscreen wash liquid. Its rated at -65 degrees neat and for the worst of the cold weather in Scotland, I use the dilution chart on the bottle, a proper calibrated jug and mix to provide protection for -15 degC.

NOW THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT BIT AND WHERE I THINK FOLK GO WRONG.
If one has a 5 litre reservoir, with 4 liters of water, and just put one liter of neat screen wash in, then the concentration is only 20% and will not provide protection down to very cold temperatures. So come early winter, say mid November, its necessary to empty the reservoir completely, so you know what you are starting with. Then add say 2 liters of premixed fluid, for say minus 5 degrees protection. Run this dry, then add another 2 litres of another minus 5 mix, or minus 10 mix if its really really cold. ONE HAS TO KEEP TRACK OF HOW MUCH IS IN THE RESERVOIR AND WHAT CONCENTRATION.

regards
