Morning All,

Last night on the way home I started the car and the car automatically released the handbrake, and the dash warning lights all came on. I nursed the car home and parked it up with no major worries.

This morning I crawled under the rear of the car as discovered the rear left cable to be snapped. The rear right cable does not look too clever either to be honest.

So my question is this. Can I just go and buy two new cables, fit them and off I go again? Or will I need to get the electronic handbrake all reset in order to refit the cable?

Ive read somewhere that I might reset with a Proxia Lexia reader is this true?

Any Help will be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Andi

You can release the handbrake by turning on the ignition, putting your foot on the brake & pulling the switch. Just remember that if you have auto handbrake enabled, it will re-engage when you turn off the ignition.

Brilliant Thanks.

With any luck I will be able to change the two rear cables over with out any major hassle then.

I will let you know how I get on.
