So... An introductuion "Ben" is an 2005 VTR + 5 door. HDI

Its been "serviced" and apparently looked after. Cruise control is faulty, although it did briefly work today, so it may be the switch.

Windscreen washer motor pump has stopped working. Found a fix for this though. Rip a second hand one off my broken Peugeot 307. It fits. So i'm wondering, since its getting collected by a salvage dealer on Monday, what other bits should I strip off it? Already found the car mats fit, so i'm guessing there are a few other common parts between the two.

And lastly, engine bay cleaning. Cars engine has oil debris and dirt around injectors, and oils covering several components. Its old (I think) but whats the best way of cleaning it? i'm certainly not brave enough to power clean it.

Any good engine cleaning tips?

If there's oil around the injectors make sure the seals are 100% or you'll end up with a dead turbo!

Yes, that does bother me a bit. Don't really want to replace the turbo. It looks old so i'm confident it hasn't caused an issue yet. Now, cleaning, is hot steam ok ? is it better to just wipe it off?

I would just wipe it off.
