I bought this car about 5 years ago and always had problems with the phone's Bluetooth disconnecting from the radio. All Samsung phones with various versions of Android, now on Android 8. Everything pairs OK and may stay connected for 10 minutes or longer but will eventually disconnect. The radio is RD5 with USB and Bluetooth and I obtained the software info as follows: 10195512 V03.600 BT05.2P0 DA ______ C1 1333F C2 2778 Is there a firmware update for this, and if so can someone provide a link? Thanks |

I have the same setup but never had a problem in almost eight years (several Samsungs and LGs, from KitKat to Oreo). I think I have earlier firmware, and have never updated. I can't suggest anything other than disconnecting and re-connecting the phones. Sorry. |

Interesting. I noticed today if I re-pair and don't allow access to the phonebook/address book by denying the request, it seems to hold connection better. I need to test this further over the next few days. Do you have all 3 connected, i.e. phone audio, phone media and phonebook?

Yes, but ISTR that initially the phone book takes some time to be read. I have also deleted all old phones and only have two connected at present. |

I have same problem but with iPhone on my Citroen c4 hdi exclusive -12. Have tried different iPhones but same problem. It’s the hands free function not working . The streaming is ok. The phone connects ok, but after about 30 seconds it disconnect. Have tried to delete connection and connect again but still same problem... it worked before but since last couple of month the problem started

I know this is an old thread but a quick update.... I had major issues with BT connectivity while using a Samsung S9+, always disconnecting, See the OP. I then switched to a Samsung Note9 and it never once disconnected in over a year. I have now changed to a Samsung S20+ and it has disconnected twice so far in about 2 weeks. It looks like a BT compatibility issue, possibly relating to BT versions of hardware/firmware so maybe this old car just is out of date now. If someone knows of a C4 VTR 2011 (Feb) software update to fix this, then great and please supply a link |
