Hi folks - can anyone confirm the high pressure return hose part listed here 209038 is compatible with the 07 c4 Picasso 1.6 HDI - I have this same issue I beleive but on going through sites too buy the part it says it's not compatible with this model... but everyone else seems to say this is the part! Just want to check before I buy the wrong thing! Many thanks |

Thanks Rusky - I've ordered some oil and the pipe, but until it arrives - could someone confirm how the old pipe comes off - I know I need to take the plastic front off the actuator, and remove the air intake to get access to do that, bu tI read that the new should just push on... surely for a high pressure hose it should have some sort of twist lock? Or do I literally just need to pull on it to detach the old one? Thanks! |

Thanks, OK so I've got the casing off (what a pig of a job! Taken me an hour and a half to get the screws out!) I've also pulled on the hose and managed to pull it off but I'm not sure if some of the old hose is still on the unit.... Particularly as it looks different to the new hose. So two questions, from the attached does it look like the old pipe has left some behind, and with the new pipe is there a particular end which is top and bottom?? Thanks!. OK well an update for anyone that's interested - The second ridge on the new was because the old(both) has a rubber insert which had been left behind when i took it off. Worked out the right orientation was bare pipe at top. However I still had a big leak, looks/looked like it hadn't sealed properly as was dripping out the top end rigged up a leverage system to force it on more but no joy, even tried a jubilee clip but oil still leaking - took the new pipe off (with great effort) and tried reattaching from scratch - this time I noticed the leak was actually about 2cm in to the new pipe around the penultimate little raised ring - it must have split on my attachment attempts I guess assuming wasn't faulty to start. I'm guessing citroen made this deliberately to require a special tool to be able to grab well enough to attach without breaking anything. Looks like I'm going to have to buy yet another pipe

Final update for anyone that stumbles on this thread in the future, after ordering another replacement pipe this time we used a hairdryer to heat up the new part on a cold morning which seems to have given enough room to push on to a suitable depth (crossed fingers) in any case no leak yet this time and back up and able to change gears again | ||||

I've done this very job and I documented it on my YouTube channel. - Click Here - I ordered the part and a litre of actuator fluid from the local dealer. Expensive but cheaper than a replacement actuator unit. My pipe went on without any problems Getting the ECU off was a pig of a job which involved removing the air cleaner. |
