Wheel balancing would be the first thing to check. I had new tyres some years ago and found I had a wobble. I went somewhere else to get the balance checked and they said they weren't balanced correctly. No problems after that.

Wheel balancing sorted my wheel wobble out too. Presumably you were either in Germany on an autobahn or a private test track when doing over 80mph?

I had a similar problem above 70mph. Did the normal procedure of having the wheels rebalanced. No better.
So went back to the garage. Balancing rechecked but was ok.
They did notice one of the wheels had a slight buckle on the rim edge, so i was advised to replace the wheel. Picked one up local for £30. Again had that balanced before putting on etc.
Problem still there.
I found if i accelerated slowly after 65mph, the problem didn't show.
I was getting a bit fed up and confused. I had borrowed the car out, so was a bit concerned for my friend.
The car had recently been MOT'd, so i assumed the suspension was fine.
Even so, i decided to get the garage to recheck everything again.
Turns out a lower suspension arm was worn. Once replaced, smooth as silk.
