Hello all,

Just had my Air Con antibacterial cleaned, system flushed and re-gas from ATS Tamworth. Total cost was £140. Citroen dealer is charging £199.99 for re-gas and £24.99 for Antibacterial cleaning. So I have saved £85 by not going to the dealer.

It has made a HUGE difference in the performance. I know the weather is not really super hot nowadays but still, prior to this the min temp at the air vents (inside the car) was 16dc with air con on and now it has dropped to 7.5dc

The main thing which I am happy about it that before my air con used to make hissing noise (typical noise like some sort of air escape) but since after carrying out the work, NO more hissing noise.

I was being told that the noise was due to the less amount of gas present. So the compressor had to do extra work... (didn't make much sense to me but hey, at last, there is no more hissing noise) so its a sign that something has been fixed (I hope so).

By the way, those who are still confused about the gas, it was the latest R1234YF gas and the capacity is about 450 grams.
