 Hi I've got a 2012 C4GP 1.6hdi and have not been to a main dealer for about 3 years. How do I find out if there has been any software updates I may have missed and how do I get them without having to pay a main dealer £100 for 1st hour of diagnostics?

 The way Citroen do it is to hook your car up to a central (french) computer that will look at all the software and update all as required. They have no idea what is available for your car until it is hooked up and there is no way of bypassing the system to find your own sources for the downloads.
Cost at my local (Kings Lynn) main dealer was £80.64p for software updates 2013 1.6hdi DS4 Airdream Dstyle EGS

 Thanks Deux Chevaux I've got the choice of Duff Morgan in Norwich at £95 or Desire and Great Yarmouth at £112 both about the same distance from me. Suppose it's worth having it done after 3 years??

 About an hr and a half from me so the difference in price would equate to petrol.dont know why all main dealers don't charge the same???

 Hmm - no idea - I thought all main dealers worked of the same times for each job and all that changed was the hourly rate - Seems like Duff Morgan change from garage to garage as do Desira

 Just as an update from me - update and re-calibration done and after 1500 miles later the car is very much improved - not as good as my old one still but now one I can live with

 That sounds like it worked. I've not bothered as solved the egr/abs fault and engine faults by using a engine cleaner additive and EGR valve cleaner sprayed into the turbo. Bought a £20 code reader and reset codes and problem solved. Will look at a software update soon though as chugs a bit and who knows what it will throw up.
