Hi Is it possible to disengage the electronic hand brake to enable you to turn the rear wheels? If I put it in neutral and go to get out of the car it tells me to put the car in park. I want to clean up the bell hub part of the disc (I think that is what is called) as it is rusty. I know this is just cosmetic but it just doesn't look nice. Thanks |

If it is like the Picasso, switch on the 'ignition' without starting the engine, put your foot on the brake and disengage the parking brake using the switch. Not sure if the brake re-engages when you switch off though. Is it an automatic? If the message wants you to put the gear lever in the park position, it will hold the car by locking the gearbox, therefore stopping the front wheels turning. |

It's an auto with push button start so no ignition to switch on. |

It's an auto with push button start so no ignition to switch on. Then I suggest you try pressing the button without your foot on the brake. Then press the brake and operate the parking brake switch. |
