Good morning people.
I have a 2007 C4 Grand Picasso with the 1.6 diesel egs engine.
The clutch has been on the way out for a while and now it seems like it is getting close to the inevitable time to get it replaced.

I have spoken to a Citroen specialist who seems to think it is close to £1000 to change it because it will need the clutch kit and the transmission control module changing at the same time.

I have spoken to the local Citroen main dealer and they are quoting around £600 to replace the clutch and they don't seem to think it has to have the transmission control module done at the same time.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Will it just need the clutch replacing or the clutch and flywheel, or the clutch, flywheel and TCM?

Any help much appreciated.

If the DMF is failing then that will add £££ to the cost but the Citroen price seems reasonable, they have fixed price repairs on the Citroen UP web site.

If the Citroen "specialist" thinks the TCM needs replacing without seeing the car I would question their ability.

My Citroen dealer quoted £450 for a 2007 1.6hdi EGS at their fast fit section for a clutch and were no fazed by it being an EGS

I did think about the DMF. I have found a clutch for £65 but can't find a DMF at local stockists for my vehicle. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a good value dmf? Roughly how many hours labour to change both the clutch and dmf?

See - Click Here - for parts.

I would not expect the gearbox ECU (TCM) to need replacement.
