On the planete-citroen web site lots of people have confirmed that V7 is a good update. What has caused some confusion though is that V7 is dated 15/09 which technically makes it older than V6.0.1. This is probably a mistake as newer roads exist in V7 maps.

I got a brand new C4GP in January. I've been having the "Connected Services" and "Software/Firmware" discussion with my dealer. They were incapable so I walked in with all the documents showing them how to do the services connection and firmware update. It didn't go down well but they still did it.

Anyway, map update - the dealer's (Bristol Street) broadband was terrible and it was going to take 8 hours to download, so in the end I did the map update myself.

What concerned me about the new updated MyCitroen UK site was that it only allowed the download of V7 maps. The first post on this thread mentioned that we need to update the maps in sequence. I was on V4, so I assumed that I would have to install V5, V6 and then V7. Anyway, I had a go at installing V7 without any of the previous updates and fortunately everything worked fine! Perhaps this is because I have the latest firmware?

The new MyCitroen web site has a link to a nice document describing how to update your firmware and maps. It's available to download from here.

Page 6 describes how to uncompress the .RAR file in Windows. (The author doesn't know the difference between a folder and a file but never mind.) If also doesn't mention a .XML file that is part of the .RAR file. I included it just in case and everything still worked fine.

Page 7 has a nice selection of step by step screenshots. DON'T do what slide #7 describes otherwise you'll be installing the map update for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc time! Instead answer "No".

V8.0.0 available on the MyCitroen site now! I've not had a chance to download it yet.

The maps are dated 20/12/2017 which is a shame considering it's March!

@bangers

Yes, that's the document that is available from MyCitroen when firmware and map updates are available. Just register your VIN on the web site and you'll see the latest updates.

The maps are up to V10 now.

Just downloaded V11 map. Notified today by mycitroen.es so not sure if it's available yet in the UK but should be available soon if not already.

Sorry to come to this thread after so long.

I've just bought a 17 reg C4P. I've updated the firmware to the current version as shown on My Citroen, however the Mapping software is V3.0.1-r1 and its recommending the new software update to V14.0.0-r0. This software will not load.

Am I correct that I have to update the Software updates from V4 onwards to get to V14?

It would appear that the previous owner failed to update anything, which is why I'm now updating everything.

EDIT I tried loading V4.0.2 which gave me the message along the lines of the Firmware couldn't read it. I've tried loading V14.0.0. again, and the unit says it cannot upload it. Tried it several times without success. Any ideas?

Just bought a 2020 C4 Grand Spacetourer. I updated SMEG firmware but it says no map updates. Is V11 still the newest for UK maps?

What about speedcams etc?

I think v11 is still the latest maps...not been updated because of Covid

Speed cameras are a paid subscription and I doubt they have been uodated either

Your Firmware is ConnectNav not the older SMEG
