Hi all, new here and new to owning a C4P. I have the Exclusive+ e-hdi on 63 plate, in the setting menu the is a box for auto lights dip which is ticked but when on main beam it doesn't say auto by the main beam indicator. If that function is not available on my car why would there be an option for in the menu? |

You set the left steering wheel stalk to Auto, the when you want main beam/dipped beam to be auto as well, you flash the main beam on once when the headlights are on, and it then says Auto dipped/main beam on the display - all done.

Bear in mind also that it will not work unless it is dark enough. Street lighting and car rear lights are sufficient to prevent it working. Also, look at the windscreen side of the rear view mirror on the drivers side of the car. There should be a sensor, which, as far as I know, is the light detector for the system.

Thanks I'll give that a try, I did have the lights set to auto and used main beam but I'll try giving it a quick flick of main.

Well I've tried it and it didn't work, there is a sensor on the back of the mirror.

I have had the same issue with the automatic high beam dipping function , does anyone know why this wouldn't work if the function was enabled as above? I can't get the video link to work.

OK, does or can anyone provide an image or description of the sensor integrated in the rear view mirror that is required for this function? Thanks |

Here is the back of the interior rear view mirror. Incidentally, there is no menu item for the auto dipping on my C4GP. |

I don't have the option in this menu, but in the vehicle settings(rear wiper in reverse, lighting etc) there is an option here to activate or deactivate the main beam auto headlight function, which does nothing ??
