Hello all, I have a 2011 facelift Picasso with the common locked boot problem. My nearest dealer is quite some distance away and I found a Citroen dealer selling through eBay. I had been told the correct handle/ micro switch was 8726v7/6554zz at approx £35-50 however when I sent my reg and chassis no. the dealer has told me the part is 6490r3 at £11 however it doesn't look like my handle. Has anyone bought the handle or microswitch and know the correct part. Thanks.

Hi,

Do you have Picasso or Grand Picasso?

6490R3 is for Picasso (not the Grand one).

PM me your VIN (not registration number) and I'll have a look.

Hi guys thanks for the help, Rafiki the part no. is indeed 6490r3, after giving my local Citroen dealer the reg. and vin they still couldn't be sure. They said Citroen had replaced the mechanism on the facelift due to the well known problems but some facelifts might still have the old part so I had no option but to take it apart and look. They said the new part shouldn't give trouble and they were partially right because after a quick spray with contact cleaner and wipe down it's working again, only problem was I broke a few panel clips putting everything back together again.
