Just paid for my health insurance for this year's cruise from San Diego to Miami via the Panama Canal, Venezuela and the Caribbean. Could have paid for another cruise! But then my heart has been seriously repaired and it's kept working thanks to batteries in the pacemaker.

Started saving for our holiday to France, booked a nice little cottage about 2 hours outside of Paris. And trying to convince the misses to get rid of her Ford KA and buy a C4 VTS...

I can't stand the little KA and would quite like another C4.

Other than that. House is finally finished. Well apart from the kitchen. But that's a massive job and I'm not up for that right now. Just been promoted so working ridiculous hours as I'm now a proper manager. An I'm training new staff etc. Been here 3 weeks and I already have a trainee to get up to scratch. Bit of a pain but hey ho.

We got our daughter her first car. It's a Citroen C1 VTR+, 2011 model with 20,000 miles with FSH. We pick it up next Sunday. I took it for a test drive and it was really good to drive.

Just had my OZ wheels refurbished after nine years on the car, i'm really pleased with the finish and service. They look new now

They look brand new!

We're off on a big cruise in a couple of days til the start of April. Cruising from the West Coast of the US of A to the East Coast via the Panama Canal and the Caribbean.

I'm checking out the new canal locks in readiness for the post-Panamax ships arriving in the new container terminal.

I had 2 new Goodyear tyres fitted to the front of the C4 this morning. I ordered them through Tyreshopper.com (internet arm of National tyres). I left the car with them and said I would be back in an hour. I then took our daughter to maccies for breakfast, while I was there National tyres phoned me up and said there is nothing left on the front pads. As it was only over the road I said I would come and have a look. They where right, absolutely nothing on the front pads, almost down to the metal part of the pads. So it was new front pads as well. Although it cost be a bit more at least the car is safe now and I haven't done any damage to the disks.

I'm surprised that you didn't need new discs as well, as nowadays they usually wear out at the same rate as the pads.
