Having bought our 2.0HDi Blue to tow a caravan, it became clear speaking to many dealers that few used a genuine Citroën bar on account of the hideous cost and were quoting for a local place to fit one - one exception was the dealer we bought it from who said they only fit OEM but did suggest fitting aftermarket was a better option so I thought it would be useful for you to see the set-up;

The fitting is barely visible;

Underneath;

The bar - it's heavy!;

Fitted but not secure - note the red 'flag';

Fitted and secure - note the green 'flag';

All locked-in;

The 13-pin socket pulls down;

All fitted up;

£440 all-in, the only oddity is I can hear a different tone for the indicators from the rear but the tone on the dash doesn't change
