 Hey there, so I bought the wife a 2006 C4 1.6 auto, drives like a dream BUT there are 2 problems I just can not get to the bottom of.
1. You are still driving along and the power steering just goes away?
On this I have changed the fluid and checked all connections. Still having same problem.
2. Something drains my battery every night?
If I get home around 9 or 10 pm, next morning it is fine BUT if I stop any time before 9pm next morning my battery is dead.
On this I have had the alternator redone and fitted 3 different types of batteries and the autolect did a draw test where we put a meter on the battery and checked it for about 3 hours and could not find anything causing a drain and the problem is still there!
Any help please!

 Which engine and gearbox?

1. New power steering pump needed. Probably.

2. Do you have the original RD4 radio or an after market HU?

 hi yes it does it is a 1.6 petrol with a auto box.
