Hi folks, is it all C4s that do this? My wife's 2013 C4 1.7HDi and my 2014 1.6eHDI C4 both sit at 59 mph even though we select 60 on CC. My OCD radar is going mad LOL
Does this happen to anyone else ??
Thanks
Mark

It's because the car's core system is metric and the conversions to and from imperial not exact.

If the car's display is set to Km and litres, I bet it's spot on.

(Though my old 2005 C4 was spot on - 70 on the cruise control would show as 70 on the speedo - and on the satnav! Got a photo somewhere of them all aligned.)

Was the 1.7 TDi a mistype?

My old c4 was the same - accurate at 70 mph on satnav and 70 mph on cruise control.

Newer C4 is 70 mph on cruise control but satnav states that it's 67 mph . . blooming nuisance - but nice for keeping under the speed limits

Likewise. I've set the speed memories at 32, 43, 53, 63 and 72 mph which are 30, 40, 50 60 and 70 mph on the satnaff.

At least your cruise control works.

It has happened to me in the past but doesn't always happen. I tend to use the limiter more anyway.

As for speedos under reading, I believe it's required by law.

BTW, if your user name is an abbreviation of obsessive compulsive disorder it shouldn't have punctuation in it. Unless you're using American English, then you're missing the last full stop - O.C.D.

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Our C4 Picasso never had this issue but the DS4 does and a C4 Cactus I drove last week did too. With the DS4, we recently had the ECU updated due to an issue we've had with cold starting on warm days and after this was done I would say the speedo and cruise control setting read the same figure 9/10 times - that's the only change the car has had so I assume it is related to the update.

I have OCD but not about speedo's - taps and door handles, mind...

It is not required by law. What is required is that they do not over-read. A small difference, I know, but many people believe that the requirement is +/- a percentage!

the old C4 was 1 kph higher then real speed. the new C4 is about 5 kph higher then real speed. this could be the reason. when I set the cruise control on 125 kph, the speed shows 125 kph but the real speed is 120 kph.
