Hi everyone, I've got a 5 door c4 with standard 17x6.5 26et with 205/50/17 tyres and I'm looking to replace these with some 3SDM 0.05 wheels in 16x8 25et, to make the rolling radius the same I need to run 205/55/16 or something similar, was just wondering if an 8 inch wide wheel would even fit, if those tyres are stretched too much, what the ride comfort and roll would be or any other relevant information linked to this set up? Any opinion or info would be greatly appreciated thanks

16's will look lost in the C4 arches unless it's mega low. Even then they are going to look small. An 8" will fit fine. I ran 18x8's on coilovers. An they with the spacers had an effective offset of ET5.

Ride wise it'll depend on what you plan to do with the suspension. The 16's will look daft without some major lowering. An that's when you're going to lose ride quality stiffening it up.

I've got a set of ap's I'm planning to max out to get rid of any sort of gap so that's not a problem, I've seen pictures of the wheel size set up I'm planning to run but I just can't picture it on the car. Might have to load up photoshop and take a look.

I have to say my C4 runs the standard 205 55 x 16 tyres and looks fine in the wheel arches. They are fine for road use and with the number of pot holes I don't want a lower aspect ratio tyre that will damage easily

Not really - just look at any C4 passing you, those with 16" wheels will have tyres of exactly the same circumference as those with 17" wheels so will look the same
