Great summary.

It seems that this update to the range, isn't that much of a revolution and certainly not enough to convince me to change, especially as the prices are pitched so high and likely to go higher with the current Euro/£ situation.

I drove past my local Citroen dealer on Thursday and noticed they had a brand new revamped C4P in the new blue colour parked outside, that looked like it had just arrived. I reckon it is destined as their showroom model.

I will go in and take a closer look at some point, but I found this review today of the new 2017 C4GP model, which looks nice in the blue:

My initial impressions are really mixed though, the front looks a bit too busy with more silvery bits and moulded plastic, which I'm not sure add very much. Don't much like the new 3D effect rear Citroen chevron badge either on the tailgate that looks like someone simply painted some black lines onto it!

The main improvement seems to be the infotainment system, although reviewers are still saying it is sluggish and confusing. It seems that the top and bottom screens may allow for independent working, which the current model has an annoying design quirk, with not being able to show the navigation map on the top screen when you alter options on the lower screen.

Most dealers cars don't have the electronics enabled in the showroom, so its going to be difficult to examine this function properly until we get some Forum members who buy one and report back.

The following new C4P has also appeared for sale on Ebay:

I am however confused as the Flair spec is supposed to be the top spec. (equivalent of the old Exclusive), yet the steering wheel controls shown in this advert are lacking any controls at all in the lower half of the wheel? It also has the added effect of making the steering wheel look a bit cheap with its blanked out bits!

The Youtube C4GP review above, seems to have them, indicating perhaps some additional factory fitted extras.

Hopefully some new owners will start arriving soon, to report their findings...

Citroën have removed the lower buttons from all its ranges (or in the process off when there's not yet been a facelift) you now control the phone either from the touchscreen (I suspect like before) or the top right controls which operate broadly similar to the bottom right ones previously - the bottom left ones were always fairly useless. Our DS4 no longer has the bottom buttons either and I can't say I miss them.

Just seen the ad on TV again, and this time took a bit of notice. I do like the idea of the sensor under the rear bumper to open the tailgate. Obviously not fitted on the one I saw as it didn't have a powered tailgate.

The Ebay one @ Lookers, is a lower spec, less toys and with a smaller engine than my mine and is £2000 more than I paid last November. It is local to me, but that wouldn't get me to rush in there & buy.

There was talk that Tom Tom was to be the new Sat Nav. Has that arrived in the facelift yet?

I think our first owner may have arrived, and funnily enough has asked about the Tomtom in their new car.

My BlueHDi 150 diesel doesn't sound as sporty as the new 130 Puretech engine does when you accelerate hard - very impressive!

I'm assuming as you don't get the black panel button and SRC (source)change button on the lower half of the steering wheel with the post facelift, that these options are now available via the touchscreen?

Cars fitted with the two lower steering wheel button sections seem to all have additional factory options.

I'm a big fan of 3-pots, owning a couple of smart cars and my current A2 TDi has seen to that - nice off-beat thrum under acceleration - I would happily have got one as our next car but sadly I don't think it has the guts to pull the caravan!

I also now have a Renault Clio 64 plate 0.98 litre TCE Clio, which really does shift and would totally agree with your comments. These new petrol engines are a real revelation. Using a spreadsheet to monitor actual fuel consumption on the Clio, I'm getting over 50mpg as well!

In the clip above in the C4 Picasso, the driver puts his foot to the boards. My Clio sounds quite sporty, but I suspect the 130 Puretech is that much more powerful.

Lovely sound and quite rapid too, we drove a Clio tce and Captur tce, I expected the latter to be a but overwhelmed by the size but not at all, very nice indeed. I'd really like to try a Cactus with the 110 engine fitted.
