Yeah looking at the car configurator they have lost the 2.0 Diesel.

Don't put any stall on the configurator, it is definitely mid re-build as a number of models are missing and occasionally it shows an error when you try to select certain models.

As they are Touch Edition, Feel and Flair they won't be directly comparable to the current 4-model set-up - I am envisaging Touch Edition being half way between VTR and VTR+, Feel being somewhere close to Exclusive and Flair being similar to Exclusive+ - for what it is worth, I quite like the idea of a 1.2 Puretech with some goodies (even with options, the VTR+ misses out on nice stuff like the HD top screen and chrome trim).

Just noticed the configurator seems to be getting ever-more bizarre - the VTR+ options has the VTR+ Style Pack now called the Touch Edition Style Pack (although the Convenience Pack is still badged as VTR+), ditto the Exclusive Style Pack is now the Feel Style Pack (...and the Exclusive Convenience Pack still described as such...)

Half a Job Bob is still on the Smelling Salts by the look of it

The new July price guide is now available on the Citroen UK website as a download (complete with various spelling mistakes!).

This shows the various new options and features of the revised C4P/GP models which should start arriving from September 2016.

I have to say that the Bluehdi 150 auto Flair model (equivalent to the Exclusive+ spec) is now almost £30k and with options pushes even higher - ouch!

I have my eye towards the bottom of the range - Feel is fairly close to Exclusive spec from what I can see but can be had with the 1.2 130bhp Puretech, add in the Feel Style pack and a few other bits and once the discounts start rolling in it could be the sweet spot in the range - interesting to see a very limited colour palette of Polar White, Shark Grey, Ruby Red, Soft Sand, Lazuli Blue and Onyx Black. Of that lot I would be tempted by Soft Sand.

With the configurator not yet operating and the model brochure still being the old model (and the C4 Picasso page still being the old model) it's not clear what each of the interior trim upgrades include - for example the price list has Yatago Grey interior as being a £500 upgrade on Flair models with Slate Half Leather and Ondulice Cloth being £700 (inc. relax massage seats) yet in the 'new car' bit on the C4 Picasso it suggests Yatago cloth comes with this equipment anyway and there is no mention of the Ondulice option under the trims.

All will become clear!

The configurator is now live for the Grand Picasso - the front page gives you the 'VTR+, Exclusive and Exclusive + spec but ignore that as when you select 'Exclusive' and click on the interior page it tells you you're on a Feel.

New brochures have landed too.

Yikes....so the Flair 150 auto is now £31,360, but looks like it comes with full leathers!

The configurator has always had a similar glitch - if you select this model and click on 'Interior-Exterior' you have to select the standard option (leather and ondulice) as leather is pre-selected; the price then drops by £2k. It often does the same with metallic.

I'm sure the detail wasn't on the download on the Citroen website earlier this month, but there is now detailed specifcation and price data at the very bottom of the brochure download.

You're right, it was initially the pretty pictures and some basic information around emissions but it's now the full specification and technical information.

Wondering if a Flair Puretech is a bit greedy...

I am actually looking forward to swapping my car if this is still available in 2 1/5 years!!

I think I'll be pretty much going for a straight forward upgrade 2.0 auto flair but also plumping for the driver assistance pack 2 priced at £800.

My only question would be...do I stick with Polar White or go for the Lazuli Blue which looks quite good! Wish they did more vibrant colours like they do on the other models!

The latest price guide (August 2016) shows a standard fit spare wheel on the C4GP but strangely not the C4P.

Citroen UK are now making a big thing of this on their website, by advertising the fact that all models of C4P and C4GP from August 2016 include a spare wheel. I think they might be listening to their customers!

On their website today it stated about the standard fit change. It's also listed here: - Click Here -

The new revamped C4P/GP is starting to be seen in France, with the UK starting to see press launch soon and deliveries arriving September/October for us.

One owner on Planete Citroen has already taken delivery of their restyled model, in a strange mushroom colour!

Production of the new C4P/GP started on the 18th July, but as is always the case, the annual holiday shutdown began on the 22nd July for 3 weeks.

Production recommences on Wednesday 17th August, so cars should start to appear over the next month or so.

I went to a local agent to have a look at the new version yesterday. I didn't seem to be able to get attention from a salesman so this is all personal observation.

The car was a Ruby Red Grand. It had some information displayed beside it. It was a 120HDi S/S Manual. There was no information about trim level, and although the accompanying info said there was a sunroof, there wasn't one.

Comparing with my Exclusive +, obviously there was no sunroof. The front has been redesigned. My car has chrome door handles and unlocking via the handles, this one did not. The roof rails were very silver in comparison to by grey ones. There was no chrome strip on the tailgate and the tailgate was not powered.

So this indicted a lower spec model. However the seats were part leather with electric massage function and powered footrest just like mine.

The mirror fitting to the windscreen was significantly different, being much larger. I don't know whether it has new features that mine doesn't have.
The interior and facia looks identical to mine. As I didn't have the opportunity to switch on the ignition, so I don't know how the display has changed.

The television ad shows that the suspension has been altered; obviously I can't see any difference. So unless there are significant improvements, I won't be rushing to part exchange.
