Hi guys I am after buying a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6HDi VTR+, I would like a manual 6 speed box. Could anyone tell me what year the 1.6HDi got a 6 speed manual please?
Thanks in advance. PHIL.

Yes it did. However, unless you are doing more than 10k miles per year, you would be better off with a petrol.

Would like an ordinary 6 speed gearbox.

It was late 2010, you can tell which manual VTR+ models have a six-speed 'box as these are the cars with DRL's. Some will be on a 10-plate, but there are also the older model on 60-plates too.

Depends what you mean by the top model. The 2.0HDi was not available with 6 speed manual, or any manual come to think of it, until early 2011, even though the model was facelifted slightly before that. I ordered one as soon as possible. As far as I know, 1.6HDi Exclusives had the same options as VTR+s.

As RM says, the Exclusive wasn't available (with any engine) with a manual pre-DRL in the uk - if you wanted a manual diesel C4 Picasso or Grand, it was 1.6HDi VTR+ at the top of the tree; I know as that's the choice we made despite really wanting an Exclusive!

With the facelift they introduced a 2.0HDi manual (6 speed) VTR+ and Exclusive but they are incredibly rare, you still couldn't get a manual Exclusive 1.6HDi though, it was EGS only.

Depending on budget, the 'run out' Platinum was also available as a 1.6HDi manual 6-speed.

In the UK, if you want a 6-speed manual diesel it's face lifted models only. You could get the VTR (non +) that didn't have DRL's but these are easy to spot (no alloys)

Just to clarify, the 6 speed was not available with the facelift, but was only available to order from mid January 2011. As I wanted an 11 plate it was registered on 2nd March but was actually delivered to the dealer late February. So you won't find any manual 2.0HDis (well certainly Exclusives) with 10 plates, and I would imagine very, very few with 60 plate.

What I was getting at is that you won't find a pre-facelift car with a 6 speed manual, perhaps I didn't make it abundantly clear
