I suppose the first impression is how good the car looks given that it's just a box on wheels. We did see them at the dealers many times but now it's outside the house it really does look great. Second is the build quality. Finish lines are as near perfect as you can get and the 'thud' from the doors is something I've not heard in a while. That carries on inside with the dash, seats, trim and all buttons and stalks. The drive is lovely too. I've found myself picking up the keys to the C4GP rather than my trusty Clio when nipping down to the Coop. Don't get me wrong, I love driving the Clio but the Citroen is just so easy with the auto box and keyless entry/ignition. The 2 litre engine is also very capable and really performs well with the auto box above 30. Things I really like... The column stick for the auto box. Driving visibility. The safe feel of the car. Distance sensor and active cruise control. Rear legroom. Slight disappointments... The SatNav - the Clio's Tomtom is so much better thought through. Visibility of the steering column stalks - they tend to be hidden by the wheel. The non intuitive nature of the touch screen menus. Biggest disappointment... No seat memory or even an option for it. The feature seems to be mentioned in the manual but that's it. One thing I do think Citroen have got right is the central nature of controls via the touch screen. Whilst it'll take some time to learn where all the functions are, at least they are all in one place. The large central display also seem very natural; I'm almost more conscious of the feedback from that than a more conventionally positioned dash. So based on the last three weeks we are very happy with our first Citroen; its build, performance and style. Cheers, Ian |

Thanks for the review, my understanding was memory seats only came with the full leathers?!! Obviously not! Sounds like you got yours fully loaded! I still love our car, esp love the interior...my colleague has the grey interior but the amber really brightens it up inside! |

The auto gearbox was also added when we drove an auto SMax which was a really easy and drive. When we then test drove the Citroën for comparison it was almost as good and I felt the 150BHP engine was more responsive. The only questionable addition was the Xenon lights but I'm glad we included these - the directional feature works very well. vimto2000 wrote ... Whilst most of our friend like the external styling they are really surprised by the internal feel; both in terms of space and quality. If Citroën have also mastered the reliability angle then they (and we!) have got an excellent MPV. Time will tell and I'll continue this thread as we (mainly the Mrs!) put on the miles. Cheers, Ian |

Hi Ian, thanks for the updates, always interesting to get proper "real" reviews. Did you try the standard seats? We have the exclusive and I have an opportunity to get some upgrades.... Are they much more comfortable or are they just the standards with full leather covering. I would like (or should I say the wife would like) the footrest/massage/heat features. I agree with all your comments on the C4GP, although I am missing some of your features the car is the same and we are very happy with it having had pretty much all of the main stream 7 seat cars for our family over the years. We have changed them regularly but may well stay with this for a good while. The only gripe is the spare wheel situation otherwise very happy indeed. |

I have just taken delivery of a C4P Exclusive manual 120 BlueHdi. I'm very impressed it has the cloth upholstery that is very comfortable and I like the grey dash, the whole interior is light and airy. A colleague tested a version with the massage seats etc and thought them more of a gimmick than a practical option. |

In regards to the massage option, my wife hates them however I find them really useful. They are great on long journeys just giving that slight movement to the lower back rather than staying static. They will not leave you feeling relaxed but it definitely eases the stiffness out of long drives! | ||||
