Hi, I'm a new '08 C4P 2.0 HDI owner chasing info on alternative oils to TOTAL QUARTZ INEO ECS 5W-30.
The Total oil is near impossible to find for me (Aust.), so I'm looking for an alternative oil for the short term until I can get hold of the Total.
I'm probably being anal but I prefer to not leave it to chance as I have some loooong driving hauls ahead across the country in the C4P.

Any good brand of ACEA C2 Mid/ Low SAPS will be perfect.

Thanks, probably go with this for the short term. Couldn't find any ACEA C2 spec.

Valvoline, Shell, Mobil etc all market ACEA C2 lube oils into the Australian market: there should be no reason to use the "wrong" specification down under. Lots of Japanese manufacturers recommend this specification too.

I would deff go off the list of approved oils list. I've just used Fuchs Titan Pro C2 5w-30 in our 1.6 oil burner. Seems to ok. Next time it will be Mobil 1 ESP C2/C3 spec as I have over 20Ltr of it in the garage. Service intervals will be every 5-6k to with a MANN filter.
