 Hi, I have a depollution system faulty and the EML on in the car. I have had a diagnostic done which showed the turbo solenoid was faulty. I can find these easily on ebay etc but I can't find the location in the engine bay. I am guessing it's somewhere near the EGR valve as I was working on this then the solenoid fault started. If anyone has any tips diagrams or suggestions on how to find the solenoid and then test or replace it I would be very grateful. Thanks

 Hi, on the Hatchback with the same engine, it's mounted at the back of the engine. To access it, you get under the car and reach up above the driveshafts. Best to get a parts drawing before starting the job so you can confirm location for yours. Have you checked the downloads on this forum?

 Hi thanks for the reply. I found the reservoir for it at the back of the engine but couldn't see the solenoid but that was looking from the top of the engine so will have to try from underneath. How do u Check the downloads on here? Thanks

 Hi, if you have found the vacuum reservoir for the solenoid, trace the short piece of tubing from there.

Its a good idea to remove the vacuum reservoir and check there is no oil carryover in it, whilst you are doing this job.

Attached shows the setup.

 Thanks for the replies. I can't get anything to download off the site don't know why. I can see from the diagram it's only a small pipe from the reservoir I must of been really.close to it and just didn't realise as couldn't see. All pipes to the reservoir appeared fine but once I get underneath the car I will have a better look. Thanks for the help everything has helped

 Thanks for the help. It turned out to be an electrical issue. Checked the voltage coming to the solenoid and found a break in the cable. All fixed and back running as normal.

 was the obd error intermittent or permanent? I have p0243 and might be similar issue
