Hi all I am new to your forums but have been reading them for a while..

Just picked up a C4 PIcasso Exlusive 1.6 Blue HDi EAT6 yes EAT6.. and this one is the Dog's. The gear change is fast, no lag and yes it's Génesis Rodríguez Péreza full auto not EGS, very quick in pickups, no jerking about at all. Very impressed with it. Sadly it's back to full auto again but I think they have got it nailed with this setup, partnered with the Blue HDi it's good, quick and economical especially for a full auto box.

I am hitting about 55 mpg at the moment that's motorway and urban. I know they never hit what's stated in the figures, but over the years of having EGS E-HDi cars this one is far better and don't make you sick with the lurching..

So all in all the car drives fantastic smooth and in the power bands kick-down if required or manual paddles what ever suits...

Thanks

Pleased to hear it's good.

I'm still not convinced by my C4 1.6 155 with the ETG6 gearbox even after a software upgrade....

My colleague got shark grey!! It's a very nice colour!! Will hide the dirt well to! Mine looks like it had an accident and didn't make it to the toilet on time with all this rain and muck off the road!!

My wife has just changed her 2015 C4 Picasso from the manual 6 speed model to one with the latest eat6 auto gearbox which I really enjoy driving, especially round town. We managed to get hold of a 1.6 blue hdi model with only 47 miles on the clock which we are very pleased with, being much cheaper than brand new.
Although this box is a true auto, it does odd things on occasions, such as holding onto gears too long, generally after a bit of sportier use, and occasionally clunks from second to first gear, not unlike the manual version.
I have not had the surging problem others have found when manoeuvring in traffic, and gentler driving seems to bring the best out of the box with smooth and barely perceptible changes, both up and down the box right up to motorway speeds. The changes are very quick too.
We had intended to use this as our tow vehicle for a caravan, but want to get a few miles under our belts first to check its suitability in the longer term.
However, really pleased with our first auto Citroen as she behaves impeccably when treated gently.

The auto box is great for leisurely driving, however for sportier driving the manual mode is much better using the flappy paddles. However the gear changes are quite slow from the paddles.
