From the threads I read, it would not be possible on the 2.0 due to the size of the adblue tank.

This FAQ shows how to fit a spare wheel carrier to most Picassos, though you need to check it applies to your model.

I'm sorry, you can't fit a spare wheel under a 2.0HDi as the space is taken up with a large silencer box. It is possible to fit one to a 1.6HDi.

Few more updates!

I've finally got the LED light sensor to put in the storage compartment! And boy does it make a difference!! Something that I'm not sure I could do without now!

And second thing...more of an annoyance. The left hand wing mirror seems to always aim lower that what I set it as. The only explanation is, that when I reverse, it does not move back to the original position after I drive away.

Is there any way I can set the dipping points of the mirror when in reverse as they are not quite low enough for my preference either.

Cheers

Hi Vimto2000, did you fit the whole LED fitting inclusive of driver into light housing with the cap screwed back? I have ordered the same fixture as yours, waiting to arrive. Tks

Just an update re the car...fitted the LED bulbs into the car! Makes a big difference to the visibility and the look of the car. I wasn't going to get the fogs done as hardly use them, but they come on when turning the wheel and indicating. So I've ordered some H11 Leds as well.

The headlights bulbs were a very easy part to change...apart from a few scratches on the back of my hand due to being a bit tight on space!

Hey sopskysalat, yes the driver and braids all fitted into the housing. No modifications needed. Just be warned if you have big hands... It could get quite scratched due to being a bit tight to move around.

Well the car has just been in for its recall for the rear locks. While in there I mentioned about the passenger side mirror not returning to position. Both were checked over, the recall problem was not an issue on my car after the checks. Also, they could not replicate the fault with my wing mirror.

Anyway after all that, they did give me a bottle of screen wash and a solution to clean my mirrors and interior windows with and a micro fiber cloth. So not a complete wasted visit!

Surprised they didn't charge you a fiver for a bottle of screen wash solvent and a posh rag!

Lol well I did have to buy a £17 aerial as mine had some how snapped in the middle. So kinda made me feel better handing over the money as I got some freebees!

Also the car got the usual clean inside and out, which is also a bonus even though I had gotten the car washed the day before...but the insides needed a good hoover!

Well the car went back in for another recall check...turns out it needs two buckles and a lock. My passenger wing mirror was still not returning back to position, still no fault found by the garage however they greased up the mechanism. So far no issues since then.

I'm still waiting for them to contact me when my parts arrive for the locks and buckles. Hopefully I'll get my ad blue warning by then...just clocked over 12000 miles but they wouldn't top it up last time as my lease company will only pay for it when there is a warning. Oh well! If not...another trip to the garage!

Other than that...car is still working as it should be! Everything still works and it is still a pleasure to drive! I can't imagine I would replace it with anything but another one of these cars at the moment.

It's really interesting that they in that garage didn't hear about that yet but it's a well know issue by Citroen.
The complete switch panel in the driver side door needs to be replaced as this controls the passanger side mirror movements as well.

(This is from a right hand drive car but the situation is the same with those.)

Thanks...I am not that is needed for mine. As, so far since they have added the grease to the mechanism, I have not had any issue.

So finally got my 1500 mile adblue warning with the car on 12,500 miles!

That means I got about 3 weeks to get it done.

Time to phone the lease company see who is should do it...Dealer or me.

Try Citroen. Mine is due in for service on Wednesday, and I'm being charged £9.99 for a 10L top-up. This is, if I remember correctly, the same cost as the fluid. It may be different if not part of the service. This, of course, is unlikely to fill the tank.
