We just ran into this problem today with the installation of a bosal swan-neck tow bar. Unfortunately we didn't realise this was a possibility and although the garage who fit it were aware of this problem with "the French cars" they didn't feel the need to mention it.

Had they done so we wouldn't have opted for the fixed towbar but paid the extra(quite substantial amount) for the detachable one. Looking forward though, does anyone know if there is any way to either disable the middle sensors (1or2) or to adjust the sensitivity of the sensors so that it doesn't pick up the ball of the towbar?

I'm so annoyed at the installers failing to mention this problem even though they were well aware of it.

Don't think you can 'desensitise' the centre ones I'm afraid. You may just have to unbolt the tow ball when not in use.

Or - disconnect the center sensors - the outer two will still work. That said my Bosal fixed swan neck towball doesn't affect the sensors at all

Mine is a C4P Exclusive + 2015 model.

I have attached a photo to show the tow bar fitted.

Even though this is an old thread I just wanted to say thank you for posting this picture as its the towbar I am looking at and its good to see it and know it doesnt interfere with the parking sensors. thanks again
