I'm thinking about buying this engine oil for my C4 1.6HDi 2006:

Is it a big no no or will it work?

As it's rate C3 it should be OK however oil is cheap, turbo's and engines are not so look at the list of recommended alternatives - Click Here -

Yes, don't skimp on oil changes for the DV6 engine. Consider changing the oil more frequently than recommended and always use OEM filters as pattern filters are generally substandard.

There is always some debate about the value of using a flushing oil, but with this engine, I'd argue it will do no harm and is likely to be helpful in clearing oilways and corners of more deposits. As said before, oil is much cheaper than having a car off the road for a turbo and its associated parts to be replaced.
