Hello
Can someone tell me where to find the key code to have a key blank cut don't need the remote just the blank (blade) cut.
I have a card with the remote code on it and it also has numbers wrote in pen on the back but not sure if they are the blank key code as not sure what its meant to look like. Does it contain letters and numbers or just numbers.
Can anyone help Please?
Many Thanks

IIRC, there is no code. You have to go to a dealer with your VIN for them to order.

Early cars came with a key code card but Citroen stopped issuing them several years back. It requires a dealer database look up from the cars Vin for which a charge is normally made.

Hi
Thanks for the replies as started I do have a card that came with the car which has the remote code on it for programming the remote but a company that I wish to use online require the key code for the blank key (the part that goes in the lock) so that it can be cut. I also believe a lot of vehicle locksmiths also use the key code for the blade.
I also have a brand new key with a sticker on the side from the main dealer but not sure if that has the code for the blade on it.
Maybe I am using the wrong word when I say code, I want the details so I can get a new blade cut.
This is why I am asking where to find it.

I had a new key cut by a locksmith and they just used the existing key.

I understand that but the only place I can find local wants £55 as they won't cut anyone else's blanks so I was looking to have it done online and get a new case as well.

As Dave said already, you need to contact the dealer with your VIN. They will charge you though.

Gary.

When I had mine done it was £70 for the key cut and programmed. I thought it was better that £140 ish at the dealer.

I got my new key blade cut with a complete new empty case from a guy on Ebay in the end and he cut the blank from a photo of my original key blade and it works fine.
Only cost £9.99 including 2 new batteries and 1st class postage.

I don't know how they did it but I sent him 2 pics of my key and he cut the blank and sent back a fully working key blade and case.
