On my 2007 Loeb I'm having issues where the boot opens while driving, car won't lock, rear wiper not working or brake light. It's booked into Citroen Friday for them to replace the wiring. I've been told this cost £360 to fix. Now I've read that there was a recall on this model for a similar issue yet Citroen Cardiff are telling me it's not the same issue. Anyone know if this is correct?

It's highly likely to be the same issue....

Email Citroen UK and put your position to them, i.e. this is a known fault even if your car is outside the VIN range of VF7******74343514 to VF7******74530340.

Redcall Ref: MHU
Concern: TAILGATE MAY OPERATE INCORRECTLY
Description: The wiring loom to the tailgate may have been routed incorrectly. This could cause damage to the wiring and, amongst other things, the boot to open inadvertently.
Remedial Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and if necessary replace the tailgate wiring harness.

Just got back from having boot done, car got to go back in on 26th because they failed to connect the wiring correctly no back brake light or wiper working. They also cracked the body work just under the rear window. So spent £347 today and still in the same boat

So my car has been in Citroen for the past 2 weeks while they repair the rear body panel that they cracked fixing the boot issue. Apparently they are having issue getting the stickers for it. Anyone know if Citroen still stock them.

Lol Citroen really are poo. Got my car back yesterday from having a respry on rear panel. But they have not added the name Citroen to the rear . Plus they have yet to fix my wiper. This has been to them 3 times since December .

No they are not. Your delaing with 1 individual dealership and you cannot use that experience for the whole dealer network.

Oh and I've also now got a boot full of water not sure how. Phoned them today and they are saying it's nothing to do with them. That water was never in there before they started to look at tailgate wire loom and back panel.DAVE do you have any ideas

Either it's been in the car wash and they didn't secure the wiring loom gromet or the rear wash wipe pipe is adrift?

Hi, andy2514!
Excuse me. You are leading the conversation with Dave. But I had such an issue. It's the wiring loom. How to find out the issue? E.g. my neighbour climbed into the boot with a torch and I closed the boot. I poured from a hose and we determined a leak.

Ok thanks mate I'll give that a try. It's going back into Citroen on 3rd. They are going to fix leak fit the part that runs the rear wiper & brake light. And as a good will gesture a full valet to get rid of all mould and smell. Oh and a brand new Citroen badge as I'm missing mine since the respray.
