Very pleased with the new LED lighting inside the new C4 Picasso. However the centre storage box is very deep and when dark it is nigh on impossible to see what is inside as it has no light fitted. I suspect as its removable on auto models they can't provide a light function. I purchased the following and would highly recommend it to others: - Click Here - I blu tacked it to the right hand side of the box and now when you open the rollback shutter/cover and move your hand towards it, the PIR detects you and on comes the light fully illuminating the box. Shut the cover and the light goes off after around 10 seconds. Powered by a couple of AA batteries. As its comes from Hong Kong it did take two weeks to arrive. I ordered a couple and for the money they work very well! Hope this is useful to others. |

Yes it is extremely useful. I bought two so I've always got a spare one. Its attached to the right hand of the box and automatically comes on when you slide the lid back and go to put your hand into the box. As its LED its perfect. If I get a chance, I'll take a photo |

As requested, photo of the light switched off and on. When you slide the cover open and go to put your hand in, the LED light automatically comes on. Batteries last for ages as well. Goes off after a short while once you close the lid. Great cheap product.![]() ![]() |

Nice!! Is that still attached via blutak or have you upgraded it to something stronger?

Yes it still remains affixed just with a couple of lumps of Blu Tack. Occasionally I just push on the light itself, to ensure it stays put. Due to fact that the whole storage box can be removed if required, I guess that is why Citroen can't put a permanent light inside. This alternative is great and such a cheap solution. I'd recommend other owners take a look. |

Once again, and as a reminder for existing owners (even the post facelift models), this light is excellent for the centre storage. I heartily recommend it. Works just fab and is still available on Amazon. The light comes on as soon as you pull back the retractable lid and goes off when you shut it, after a short while. |

Yep, as another person who has done this...it is a no brainer! Only a few quid and makes it possible to see in that cavernous centre storage box. I still haven't changed the original batteries that I put in. |

Thanks for this. My c4 is fine but my wife's SEAT Ibiza boot light won't work. I couldn't find the fault. The garage couldn't find the fault. Got a LED light similar to this for £4.50 (circular and with a hook), hung it in her boot and bingo - automatic boot light at night. THEN . . . can you guess? The blooming fixed boot light started to work again . . . ![]() |

There is an "official" (probably not made by Citroen but sold at Citroen car parts dealers) accessory LED reading map light that has a flexible neck and connects via cigarette lighter. I have mine on the centre console. Not as slick as PIR, but has an off and on button - at least it's OEM, and never runs out of batteries ![]() |

In the time I've had mine, around 18months and a fair amount of driving..close to 37k, I'm still on my original batteries! Only gets uses for about 10secs a pop. So the batteries will outlast my lease of my car! Also handy not to have a switch to mess with. Only problem is, when something is resting against the PIR at night and it doesn't come on!
