Hi folks, I'm about to purchase a new 2014 Grand Picasso Exclusive. I drive a good amount of miles per week and would prefer a spare wheel as I don't like the can of spray idea. I know I can get the space saver wheel for £75 which sits in the boot under seats 6/7, but was wondering if using this kit - Click Here - would work on the new model? Thanks FEW |

Thanks FEW I think it is very doubtful that you can use the kit for the older type. If you are buying an Exclusive you cannot fit a spare carrier under a 2.0Hdi as the Adblue tank takes up the space. Also please be aware that wheels for the previous type as the new ones are 5 stud and the older ones are 4 stud. |

Well those part numbers aren't listed for the new C4GP I'm afraid. However, there is now a carrier listed for the new model - however as already said, it may not fit all cars: [shadowbox=http://c4owners.org/plugins/forum/attachment/1/1415276308_1_FT201572_c4gp_b78_spare_wheel_carrier.jpg|C4 Picasso B78 Spare Wheel Carrier::||]http://c4owners.org/plugins/forum/attachment/1/1415276308_1_FT201572_c4gp_b78_spare_wheel_carrier_.jpg[/shadowbox] |

I had the spare fitted at the factory on the exclusive 1.6E-HDI built in May this year. I checked a lot of dealers to see where it sat and struggled to find one but if not fitted I remember there was a large plastic cover the area. yes its cannot be fitted to the 2.0 litre. One dealer found me a car in stock and offered to fit the spare in the workshop for the same price but I wasnt that happy with that, yes it can be done but I could not see they would get all the parts and keep to the cost. Find one on order with the spare or factory order is my advise |

Your going to have to check with your dealer on this I'm afraid, but don't hold your breath on them knowing anything either....... |

Hello Folks I have recently bought a 2013 Grand Picasso and would also like to fit a spare wheel. I visited the dealer this morning and was initially told by the parts man that it could not be done! I think it can said i, and eventually we found the above parts list on his computer. He totted up the price of the parts and thought about £350 would cover it! So the questions I am asking are has anyone got this new arrangement on their car. The old spare wheel winch lifted the wheel up on a wire the new one appears to have a metal plate does this hinge? It seems a complex shape, any chance of a photo of the wheel in the down position? Any information gratefully received best wishes John |

I hope you are aware that the carrier will not fit the 2.0HDi as the space is taken up with the Adblue tank. EDIT: Just read your second post. As it is a 1.6, no issue. |

Hello Folks Has anyone had the above kit fitted? On the old model there was no large metal plate the wheel was hoisted straight up to the floor. So how does the new system work? Any info welcome John |

I'm picking up a 1.6 Grand Picasso on Saturday - it should come with the spare wheel holder factory fitted. Not sure when I'll be able to, but I can try and take a photo if it's still useful? | ||||
