Track info is limited.

Press button 2 on the head unit when it's playing.

Got quoted a price of 255€ (201£) for the kit today at my dealer today. No work included, just parts.
Will istall the kit myself, but 255€ seems a bit steep for the unit, minding the additional Lexia coding charge!
Will look for "another opinion"

For that price I bet you could buy one off ebay, and buy your own lexia kit to code it with!

According to the manual, the up and down arrow keys suppose to change album next or previous, left and right play previous and next track. i cant get mine to change album although it works on Cd player mp3s, i have changed my display to type c although orange one, which may get changed again, i can get ablum titles displayed and do through them on there, but not when its just playing the albums and i want to just skip to next album, i find this so annoying, begining to wish i had not bought the expensive usb, and just changed the stereo, thing that put me off was loss of functions for the screen buttons are on rd4 cd player only, no steering wheel one on my model.
all my albums mp3s are in seperate folders on usb

Instead of fitting Citroen USB box, I fitted a Dension gateway 5 USB, Bluetooth, aux box to my 08 C4 Pic. Was a matter of plug and go. Hardest part was running the Mic cable. Now I have Bluetooth and can connect a portable hard drive via USB if I wanted to. It is a very good piece of equipment. Everything works via steering wheel controls and displays on the dash monitor.
PS it also charges your phone or your MP3 player.

Agreed on the Gateway 5, it also enables the CD changer port so no need to go to the dealer. There's a thread about it here - Click Here - .

One thing perhaps to bear in mind is that if you want to select tracks using the cars display, you need the (optional) cable, however I found the USB BOX cable worked fine. If you use bluetooth to stream audio you choose the music on the iPod/iPhone.

I'm liking the sound of that Dension box...
I've had the USB box fitted for a while - but the 2 occasions i asked the dealer to activate the CD changer, they failed to do it... so it's sat there not doing much
So if I'm looking at NOT having to pay the dealer for labour, and ebaying my current USB box and parrot handsfree - this works out at pretty good value?

The last USB BOX on ebay went for £50 but I found the cable from it worked with the Gateway 5 so I hung onto mine (YMMV, there are different cables around). The Gateway 5 is £180 without cable, not much different from the cost of a USB BOX and dealer enabling.

The Gateway 5 seems to enable the port each time you unlock the car, so I wonder if the setting is sticky and would let your USB BOX work after? If I get another car with an RD4 in it I plan to transplant this unit and will put the USB BOX back in mine.

Well got new display correct colour for Citroen and replaced Dark orange one I had from ebay. anyway it now displays CD4 and track number so I'm a little happier. don't know why the other didn't although everything else worked perhaps the car talks with Citroen screens better than Peugeot
Would of bought the Dension but it didn't work on my one line screen although I changed the screen now, I didn't know I was going to bother, wouldn't get much for Citroen USB box on ebay so not worth swapping now.
Must say the screen is better just for the extra trip info and it's so easy to swap.

Edit
Seems to details vary sometimes it show CD4 and tack numbers sometimes it doesn't, a little strange really. Not had chance to see if Lexia picks it up as a type C or not the other type C with orange display wasn't recognized.

Connected Lexia this morning, the new screen is now listed correctly so I have turned CD option on and it seems to be displaying all the CD info correctly at last. It stays on from my short test in the garage now.

Still can not get albums to change with up or down arrows but don't know if anyone else on here has theirs working like that, miss this option as it's a pain to press button one and change album with list.

I fitted my USB box as per the instructions on the site here. The Car is a new ( 3days ) Cachet with a RD4 unit. and all my USB stick info is displayed on the OSD.
Can you post up a screen shot so we can see exactly what you mean by "all the USB stick info is displayed". Cheers.

Hey, new user here, (Peugeot 207 owner) but have read the forum with interest. I have purchased a Peugeot/Citroen USB BOX and am looking at changing my RD4 radio as I understand there are 3 types, one is N1 which doesn't have the CD Text feature and doesn't play MP3's.

Then there's N2 which has the CD Text feature but does not play MP3's. Finally there's N3 which does play MP3's and has the CD Text feature. (There's a sticker on the stereo somewhere that states which version it is). My current stereo is an N1 so I'm looking to buy an N3 instead. Once it arrives, I am going to get a mate to activate the CD Changer, CD Text and USB Box features in Lexia for the radio and also the CD Changer setting for the display.

Hopefully that should give me the set up I want that I have seen pics of somewhere online, where the display has Track 1/99 and underneath has the play time and underneath that is the artist name and underneath that is the song name, all in full and if it's too long it scrolls. Why it couldn't be that from the start is beyond me!

so i went to my Citroen Dealer and they gave me a price of (approx) £180 + labour....after reading this thread it seems that its a bit steep can you get them from third party dealers because they suggested that i went to a local car audio shop, which i haven't had the chance to go to yet..any advice would help me a great deal due to the fact that i am a complete novice in the C4 world haha

I'd look at one of the Dension products if it were me. I had a USB BOX and it's quite primitive, clunky and basic when compared to the Dension offerings. Some (all?) of the Dension units will self-enable when plugged in so need no dealer treatment. You can stream bluetooth audio by default or via cable if you want control from the car.

I took my USB BOX out and would sell it but it's minus the cable as I'm using that with the Gateway Five. Without the cable it's only good as a memory stick player and would need dealer enabling too.

Hello guys, my name is Alex, I'm about to post my C4 presentation on this forum, but until then I would need some help concerning my Usb Box which I have bought without the harness that goes into my RT3 unit and I cannot find it to buy separately.
So I want to modifiy the cd changer's cable to fit the usb box.Do you guys have the electrical diagram with the pins showing which goes where?

Thanks
