Hi I have a 14 plate 1.6 EGS. All records and the car show 12500 for service. Had it recently booked in at Duff Morgan for its first service just to find out afterwards the service was not carried out as should now be done at 16000. Nice of Citroen to inform everyone or even program their car with the right service miles.

Following my previous post on this subject.

My dash service indicator is flashing as it's due for service at 12k.

So called another Dealer in area and reconfirmed that it is due for service at 16k and to ignore any warnings of the service indicator on the dash.

Why didn't PSA inform anyone of this and why didn't PSA or the dealer correct/update the software to correct this while it was in for it's recall.

EGS is the gearbox.Unless they've redesigned the 1.6 hdi(which they may have)since 2007,cos I don't know why the PRE 2011 reason is.
then I would change the oil every 6 months for reasons you can find on this forum.

The current C4 picasso uses the revised 8v DW6 which does have some notable changes to the 16v engine (the former introduced in the facelifted original C4 Picasso, in the C4 at some point in 2012 and the DS4 from launch) but even so the sump is still only 3.75L and our be mad to leave it any longer than 12 months, 12,500 miles.

Revised 1.6HDi engine is "DV6" V for Victor. Nothing to stop the owner asking the dealer to carry out services at more frequent intervals... unless it's a lease deal with the servicing part of the lease.
