Hi.

Could owners of 1.6egs 2013/14 Picasso's please post what their service intervals are, please.

Mine is 12.5k.

I am trying to confirm a production line change that extended the service interval to 16k.

Thanks

Personally I would have a service every 10k or annually to ensure no turbo issues.

Original intervals were 20k or 2 years and were reduced. Oil is cheap, turbo's aren't.

I have a 2l Hdi C4 GP, What service intervals would you recommend? I have done 10k since the last service which was done at a main dealer just before i bought the car and according to the receipt was a value service.

If it's the old model Citroen recommend 20k miles or 2 years but to be honest I'd just do it at half that, especially as a citroen value service is something like £130.

Our DS4 is going in next week at 11 months and about 10,700 miles.

Hi
The question arose because the dealer was sure the schedule was 16k but the car and book showed 12.5k
After much discussion it was said there was a production line change which allowed longer between services and mine was just before the change.
As I do more than 25k a year these things become more interesting!
I had one of the first cars available so I was asking those owners of newer (14 plate) models if their service schedule is different - or is the dealer full of ..............!

C6 Dave.
95% of my journeys are long motorway runs so car gets properly hot and running to the scheduled services has caused me no problems with last three cars (300k total).
Also 10k is about 4months!

PS If my turbo pops - feel free to say TOLD YOU SO!

I've not seen or heard 16K anywhere and I'd imagine the amount of 1.6HDi 'DW6' engines defiacting their turbo's when servicing isn't done on the dot and properly there's little chance they would increase them anytime soon...!

Sounds like you are in for 6-monthly intervals.

For my car, the dealer, service book and the car itself all say 12500.
But there's a separate insert for the service book that says 16000, and it also says that on the 'My Citroen' webpage for my car:

Confusing

From 1st January 2014 the normal service intervals changed for certain models from 12,500 miles to 16,000 miles or one year.

These include:-

New C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso, C3(excluding C3 Picasso), DS3, C4, DS4, DS5, C5 Euro 5 - HDi 1.4 and HDi 1.6 Diesel Engines

also

VTi 1.0 and VTi 1.2 Petrol Engines.

TO confuse things even further, the Berlingo From RPO code 13660 (3rd March 2014) has gone onto the 16,000 interval - however the C3 Picasso is still 12,500.

It must be based on 25,000km (15,625 miles, give or take) - there must be a logic to it, perhaps the latest DW6 models have revisions to them that overcome the issues we are familiar with

Either way, ours is getting serviced annually which will be circa 10,000 miles and for the sake of a few quid I'd still do it every 10-12,000 miles even if doing higher mileage.

Still not clear on this. Are these changes limited to C4P and GP with 1.6 HDi, or is the 2.0 Euro 5 included?
