C4 Picasso 2.0 diesel 2008 50,000mls

Yesterday jumped in the car, ignition on, but the suspension pump did not come on.

Bleeping noise and suspension error showing on dash. Ride height was good, new airbags fitted last year.

Urgent journey so I used the car and returned home, error still on.

I have diagnostics, so checked and found C1621 and F8EB.

C1621 is compressor relay fault, although I have read there is in fact no relay.
F8EB is a power supply fault to the instruments.

Cleared the faults and restarted, suspension fault gone, all ok.

Opened the car this morning and heared a loud bleeping noise, even with no key in the switch.

Key turned on and the dash display went crazy, all manner of symbols showing.

I dreaded the ecu gone, then calmed down and thought, the battery is original
not as easy as some cars to access, but there's a good chance this is the problem.

Battery out and tested, bingo, dead flat.

That's what's caused yesterday's error too.

New battery fitted, problem solved.

Hope this will help someone else with the same or similar fault.

As soon as I started to read this I thought, battery. A dead battery on these cars seem to throw up all sorts of errors. Glad you got it sorted.
