Hi can anyone help or give me some advice, the handbrake failure warning light comes on with the yellow service light very briefly when I start the car and only does it occasionally, ive only just bought the car with 80,000 m and last service was at 71,000, im taking it back to the dealer so he can sort it out but I just wondered if I might be doing something wrong or if its an easy fix, any advice would be welcomed as I don't want to be given a load of cobblers by the dealer

Try Brake Pedal Switch first .
Cheap Fix.
It is the culprit majority of the time.
Are brake lights working ?.
Location up and behind glove box passenger side.
Simple qtr turn twist and it's out and visa versa.
Diy job.
