Hello, my name is Faruk Foco. I am a proud owner of a 2013 Citroen c4 seduction. However, my car doesn't have light sensor mounted. Here is my issue. In my country, Bosnia&Herzegovina it is obligatory to drive with lights on always, or use daylights if you have them. I can not engage my daylights because I don't have sensor to detect it. My question is, is it at all possible to activate these lights without having light sensor. I would like to have this option. Can you inform me so I could ask a local dealer to do this for me. All the best form B&H. Thank you.

DRLs & auto headlights are 2 different features.

DRLs are lit all the time the engine is running. If the head lights are switched on then they are either dimmed or not lit at all. You can get aftermarket DRL kits if you want to fit them. There are threads on here by members who have fitted them.

Auto head lights need a sensor & are switched on automatically when the ambient light falls.

If the car already has DRLs, check the menu as they may be disabled. I don't know if they can on the C4 but a friend had a VW Passat & disabling them was an option.

Here is the thing. My car has day light options in car menu, however, when i set the option on, it lights up mail dipped light instead of little on below high beam bulb.

The setting can be changed via the Dealer Diagnostic tool. On the old model you had the option of DRL, Dipped + tail or Dipped only.

Sounds like someone ticked the wrong box in the Pre Delivery set up?

You really think that they wouldn't make a mistake?

I'm afraid it is very common........

Yes, a new car PDI'd by a partially trained junior mechanic and not fully checked by a foreman means the car's not exactly as it should be.
