I've been wondering whether a thread devoted to repair costs might be useful- i.e somewhere to quickly go and get an indication of what members have paid for repairs and, if known, the time taken.

The time aspect is useful if, like mine, an older C4 is going to an independent for repair work. When I asked my usual independent about how long the timing belt change would take, he said it'd be between 8 and 12 hours (£160 difference at his rates). It'd be useful to know that it's, say, a six hour job.

I have been quoted 60 euros for front Pads and fitting and 60 euros for the rear pads Which I thought was good value.
