 I'd like to start by saying hello! My name is James and I've just signed up today having bought a '07 plate Grand Picasso 2.0 egs VTR+ last week!

My wife and I are so far delighted with the car.

My question today is in reference to the high level or 3rd brake light on my GP.

Two of the bulbs are not working. I was wondering how to access the bulbs to replace them and also if anyone knows if they're a special type as the front sidelight had off set pins.

 Hi James and welcome to C4 Owners

If the 3rd brake light follows the same principles as the coupe/hatch variant, then it is a complete unit (i.e. it comes as a sealed unit so you can't just replace individual bulbs).

We may have some additional detail in the technical guides, however these are restricted to Premier Members (click on the red text in my post for more info).

 They are as Cam says, a sealed LED unit on 1 version so it's much simpler to replace the bulb unit.

However there are 2 types:

6351 R5 - Fixed Tailgate Glass @ £25.18 inc Vat for the complete unit from a UK Dealer, but you can replace bulbs on that one - 6216 A1 (12v W5W) @ £0.89p each from a UK Dealer

Or

6351 HT - Opening Tailgate Glass @ £167.45 from a UK Dealer

On a VTR+ yours should hopefully be the 1st one....... Pull off the trim over the unit and there are 2 nuts to remove to release the unit
